At The Other Africa the purpose of our Expeditions is to facilitate travel to remote areas of Africa not often visited by the average traveler. We do this with several different modes of transport, 4wd vehicles, familiar boats and traditional boats, donkeys, camels, via helicopter, and on foot.
If it is animals you want to see, join us on one of our Big-Game Tracking Expeditions. We head into the bush on foot with a Professional Tracker and Guide leading us in search of Lion, Elephant, Buffalo and more!
A true Expedition requires a lot of organization and planning to make sure the end result for you is an experience of a lifetime. Some of our Expeditions will challenge your senses in ways you cannot simply experience at home. When life's daily distractions are removed for a period of time, you will be amazed at how calm and focused one can become.
Our Director Steve Krenzen and/or members of our staff and our affiliates have organized and participated in the Expeditions we offer. Our Expeditions always have local guides as co-leaders of our journeys. This is a very important aspect of your experience, as our guides know the local language, traditions and customs. Their goal is to share their way of life with you.

NOTE: Desert Expeditions run from September through March. Prices are based on a minimum of eight participants. Most are available for smaller groups at higher prices. Some Desert Expeditions are subject to current travel conditions. Some Desert Expeditions require Military Escorts at extra costs.
